ARE THERE DEMONS THAT CAUSE ILLNESS

Indeed there are. The real forces behind our physical word are spiritual in nature. God spoke matter into existence. He framed the worlds so that “so that the things that are seen were not made of things which are visible” He created atoms and molecules. Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made(Psalm139;14).
Only when demonic forces invade our marvelous, God-created bodies are we afflicted with mental and physical sicknesses. One passage of scripture makes this especially clear. God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the holy spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.( Acts 19;38)
The word “oppressed” in Greek means to “overcome” or “to over power” and suggests that the people healed by Jesus were set free fro their sicknesses because of an “overpowering” spirit left at the command of faith. Look again. The verse says Jesus healed all that were oppressed(overcome) by the devil. In other words,

Satan was the agent who caused their sicknesses. We must remember that Satan is the supreme commander of all demonic forces. As he gives the orders ,he swarms of demons will invade, attack, and oppress human beings-and that includes afflicting us with sickness, disease, discouragement, depression, anxiety, and despair. Amen.
